Do you ship cakes?

No, but we deliver to the greater Baltimore Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.

Is the tasting and consultation free?

Yes, the design consultation is free with a guest count of 50 or more. There is a $25 charge for our tasting tray, which includes 11 fabulous flavors and 3 buttercream choices.

What method of payments do you accept?

Check, cash, MC, Visa and Discover. We do not accept Amex.

Is my wedding cake deposit refundable?

Yes, you have 72 hours to cancel your order from the signing of the contract. After 72 hours, the deposit is non-refundable.

Curbside Pickup

Monday – Thursday from 10 am – 3 pm

Curbside pickup is at our baking facility at: 23 Mellor Avenue, Catonsville, MD. 

Please call 410-952-1509 when you arrive and we will bring your order right to your car.

Friday and Saturdays our retail location is open from 10 am – 3 pm at 752 Frederick Road Catonsville MD 21228 for all pick ups.  You can come in our store to pick up your orders. 

How far in advance should I order my wedding cake?

We suggest that you have your cake ordered at least 6 – 12 months in advance of your wedding date.

Do I need to make a payment at the tasting?

Payment for the wedding cake is not necessary at the tasting, unless you would like to leave a deposit to secure your date.When you want to submit your cake order, a check can be mailed in with your signed contract or you can provide your credit card information by phone.

Are your cakes made with fresh ingredients?

Yes, we buy the best ingredients to ensure your cake tastes as good as it looks!

How do I order a birthday cake or an occasion cake?

Call 410-788-9478, or fill out our retail inquiry form. The order will be finalized with a phone call back to you. You may also order our signature cakes ONLINE at toasttab.com/sugarbakerscakes​.

Do you do 3-D cakes?

Yes, they are custom priced to design. Please allow at least 2 weeks advance notice for 3-D cakes. We will design the cake of your dreams!

Do you offer sheet cakes to help lower the cost of my wedding cake?

Yes, we offer sheet cakes as back-up cakes for your guests.

Do I need to save the top tier of my wedding cake?

No, to help you celebrate on your First Anniversary, SugarBakers will make you a fresh 6-inch cake inscribed with “Happy Anniversary.” Please call 2 weeks prior to your anniversary to order your cake.

Do you rent cake or cupcake stands?

Yes,we rent platforms, pedestal and cupcake stands. The rental fee is $75 must be returned within 72 hours after the wedding date.

Do you make other sweets besides wedding cakes?

We do! The selections may include 6” cakes and 10” cakes and slices.Please call us at (410) 788-9478 to check on the availability.

What florals do you offer?

Fresh flowers, pastillage flowers, and icing flowers.

Can I postpone my wedding cake?

Up to 3 weeks prior to you event, you may postpone your wedding cake to a new date.

Can I cancel my retail cake order?

SugarBakers will not be giving monetary refunds for any current or future orders that are cancelled. Cake orders that are cancelled will be honored with a store credit for a one-time purchase in the amount of the original order. Retail order cancellations or changes made 7 days or less before the order date will not be accepted.

Can I cancel my custom cake order?

SugarBakers will not be giving monetary refunds for any current or future orders that are cancelled outside the 72-hour time period. Wedding Cake and Groom’s Cake orders that are cancelled will be honored with a store credit for a one-time purchase in the amount of the original order. All order cancellations or changes made 2 weeks or less before the order date will not be accepted.
